... is that no matter how many neighbourhood apps I play with no one lives near me!

Maybe a neighbourhood is something in our heads, not something on a road map. Changes in our society and technology have weakened the bond between shared geography and community of interest - perhaps this is why we socialise less with physical neighbours nowadays.

Don't forget that Zip codes cover a far bigger area than British post codes - so only enter the first bit (HP12 or W6)!
