Congratulations on your last day at the Beeb!! I hope you have a nice holiday booked. ;-) You know, we really should get together for a drink and a chat soon.

Wow...congrats on the leap over to the light side, out from under the weight of the wage economy and into the clean air of being your own man!
And thanks for the magic you worked at the Beeb. I'm sure as shit that as I sit here listening to The Late Junction, you muist have had something to do with making all that possible.
Get a gig over here so we can go walking in the Coast Mountains.

I was Googling for "grounds maintenance labourer" and ended up here . . . where it looks like you'll have more time for longer walks in the Highlands.

Not the way it is looking so far Bernie - way too busy!

Nice way to come out ;-)
And it looks like your "out and about" section is going to need a column all of its own.

Best wishes for this next stage, Euan! If you get a gig for the CoE, be sure to enlist me as your theological subcontractor.

Congratulations on your leap into a whole new life. I am sure the wings will unfurl. Enjoy ! Looking forward to working with you in the future - in fact, see you at the gig on 21 Feb !

Hi Euan,
I doubt you'll remember me, but I used to work for Andy Lewis at BBC Technology & came to visit you a few times regarding collaboration tools (around 2003-04). I'm now working in Bermuda and, with a sailboat to sail and our first child on the way, am enjoying life.
Sorry to hear you're leaving/have left BBC... and pleased. You struck me as a very independent thinker who, couped up in your cosy basement, had much influence but little opportunity to make your own mark. The prospect of Euan Semple unleashed sounds excellent. I've added your feed to my Safari bookmarks.
Best wishes for the future, -- Neil T.

Hadn't realised you'd already gone - one less atheist at the BBC to post on my "Thought for the Day" thread :(
All the best

Technically I am still on the books until the end of this month Mike but did my last working day a couple of weeks ago.
Nice new blog btw
;-)

Thanks Euan ;~)
The final kick to start it was realising that the Freethinker web site (http://www.freethinker.co.uk/) was itself a blog. My old web site had become a jumble of badly arranged (deranged?) thoughts, and I suddenly realised that I was using the wrong tools.
