Jings, crivens, help ma boab ....

... or, translated into English, "Goodness, gracious, me!"

At the glitzy International Information Industry Awards ceremony in London last night Sir Trevor Macdonald handed me the award for Information Professional Of The Year.

Trouble is I have been stuck out here in the freezing cold all bloody night because I can't get my head through the front door of my house!

:-)

Congratulations ...

Did you try around the back ? There are double-width doors there, no ? Or did the chuff fill up so much of your head that you stopped thinking ? ;-)

Well done.

Big congrats, richly deserved.

Yaaay! I wish I could have been there to cheer you on in person, but they just wouldn't let me in in my dressing gown. :-D

Congratulations!

Gee Euan
Well done

Andy

Odd that, being stuck outside, cos the freezing cold normally causes an alarming degree of shrinkage of exposed body parts P'raps you had a hat on?

Anyway, though I'm utterly ignorant of these International Information Industry Awards, they sound important. And recognition and reward at the highest levels of a domain populated with not only your peers but Really Clever People has got to feel good. Plus, from what I've read of your work at the BBC, you deserve recognition and praise. Totally. So yes, warmest congratulations.

I would think that this calls for a celebratory drink or 3 of Laphroaig, in the quiet time when everyone else has gone to bed.

:-)

I was there, and it was a great moment to see you declared the winner. Well done.

And it was even worth getting up at the crack of dawn to see you strutting your stuff on stage at the conference this morning.

I am in awe.

well done!

I could spell your name right, huh? AN AN AN. I always do that. Sorry. I did not win international speller of the year. ;-)

I am glad you mentioned it Jeneane. I was thinking of giving you a special award for persistence!

;-)

Well done Sir!

Congratulations Euan ! Glad the industry agrees with me. Hope you managed to get in through the door eventually (by turning sideways ?) or maybe not as you seem to have been blogging from Glasgow since then...
