Memories of John Peel

My wife and I, along with approximately 2.5 million others, stood laughing - and crying - in the kitchen this morning listening to the Home Truths tribute to John Peel.

There is something very, very special about speech radio and there was something very, very special about John Peel.

For those of you who don't have access to quality speech radio or missed the show it will be available on BBC Radio's Listen Again feature for the next week. Do listen.

Listening to his theme tune at the end of the programme was too much - I am writing this through the tears.

Bravery of an unusual kind

Where am I?

Bush and Bin Laden need each other

What if we refused to play and just ignored them.
