Young folks nowadays (Part II)
I am IMing for the first time with my six year old daughter who is upstairs and she just picked me up on my spelling and did a wink smiley!
Bear in mind that she has never used iChat before and I hadn't explained to her how to use smileys.

Wait until she starts IM'ing you at work! The other day I was going through numbers on a spreadsheet with someone from Finance when "Hello Poo Head!" appeared in the middle of the screen... :-)

So cute!
She types well for a six year old.

Doesn't she just - and I just bought her a touch typing programme so she will get even better!

This an absolutely beautiful exchange. The unbearable, overwhelming, ecstatic joy of having children perfectly captured. Thank you for sharing this. I'm welling up. Mind you she'll probably end up suing you for breach of confidence once she's old enough to have her own lawyer. Which I think is about nine and a half these days.

Thanks Jamie - understood as only the father of a young girl could.
I am also very careful with what I do with the ideas and activities of my kids. I never mention their names on here and always ask them if they are OK with me publishing whatever it is. They both, I think, understand what the internet is and both, I hope, understand the context in which they say yes or no.
