Cold Turkey I'm off on

Cold Turkey
I'm off on holiday for a few days with the family. I'm taking my powerbook with me and we'll just need to see if I can make it four days without connecting it up and doing a bit of blogging!

Wish me luck.....

Delegating irritation I was going

Delegating irritation
I was going to get annoyed at How To Write A Better Weblog last night but stopped myself writing anything in my blog because I try not to be negative about other people's views.

However I am very glad that Vaughan Simmons expressed his irritation much better than I could!

Just another way of looking

Just another way of looking at things?
Becoming self aware and making choices about the lives we lead takes courage. I myself had my first awakenings to this dismissed by my father as “oh that’s just another way of looking at things”. Yes it is. Everything is just a way of looking at things. Convention is just another way of looking at things. The reality is that we can choose our way of looking at things consciously or unconsciously.

Until now most of us have had limited choices. The role models we were aware of were those who lived near us or with whom we ended up working. Even with the advent of television our relationship with the people was saw was very passive, soaking up the images without any real possibility for dialogue. The global conversation developing on the internet allows us to choose, for the first time, who we rub shoulders with as we choose our realities. We can seek support and reference from anywhere on the planet.
